The Tools

Every good tradesman needs good tools. Every good blogger needs good tools too. This blog has been on the go for a year now. I have gone from 3 followers last January (my daughters) to 125 now. I have so far managed not to add my facebook friends has my followers, although i often send posts to my home page on facebook.

This year i have learnt what works and what doesn’t. What tools i really needed but didn’t have and which ones i had to do without. As i am sitting up a tree this year and certainly intend to climb out on a limb at times i figured i had to pack succinctly (look, a big word :) – it means concise, pressed into a small area). So here i am sat up my tree, holding onto my pack, would you like to know what is in it?

It is this -

03012013260

A new desk

A laptop – a bought a new last year

Book of Days – this i use as a blog planner

Books of awe and wonder, still to be read

A kindle – more books

Church teachers manual

Scriptures

Journal (green) so i can continue my sacred record

A notebook

Funky coloured pens

A camera

If you had a to pack a bag for your year ahead, what would be in it?

About beverley

As I look back over the last 2 years i cannot believe how much my life has changed. From feeling like my world was crumbling around me i have walked my path until i have found acceptance and peace. Living life on your own is hard, but living life always wanting more is harder still. This blog is about life and living and dreaming a little. My last 'About Me' i said i wasn't pretty and no i am not, i am beautiful. Welcome to my blog i hope you find what you are looking for.

  2. First off, I agree with Cat Forsley – funky markers are SO COOL! Let’s see, what would I pack…phone numbers and email addresses so I can stay in touch with friends, a computer (email isn’t much good without one, for one thing), my itty bitty palm-size dumb camera and a spare battery and charger, sticky notes in lots of colors :) , books (and if I had to pack light or compact, they would be on my kindle), knitting needles and yarn, some pots and pans and a stove…I’m not very good at cutting things out. If I don’t make myself stop, this is going to be a very long list!
